During the day, visit Katong, a Peranakan area of colonial buildings and old-style rumah makan, and relax under shady 200-year old trees in Fort Canning Park, one of the oldest settlements in town. If you are more adventurous, climb Mount Faber, Singapore's highest hill that stands at 105 metres above the city. The hill is all of lush greenery, old colonial bungalows and villas with an impressive view of the port and Sentosa Island.
